Northern New England is my home. My work is drawn from my summers in Vermont and visits to the lakes of New Hampshire with my family.
Whenever I spend time in nature I am overwhelmed by the beauty
that surrounds me.
My work focuses on the abstraction that can be found in nature. Landscape painting lends itself to be explored with colors and shapes that may not appear at first glance. I enjoy experimenting with the different qualities of paint dependent on application and various techniques. I have become increasingly interested in clouds, atmospheric perspective and how the sun illuminates the sky in various ways throughout the day.
